Used to transition from copper or brass tube to CPVC. This special fitting is designed to compensate for the difference in coefficients of expansion which exits between CPVC and metal pipe in hot water applications. Solvent welds directly to CPVC tube and adapts to tubing by means of compression fitting. Permits easy disassembly of piping system. Uses replaceable brass ferrule. Not for use with PEX tubing. Manufactured to include no more than 0.25% weighted average lead content on wetted surfaces.
